Loblaw’s Joe Fresh to Open Standalone Stores in Canada and the US

Loblaws announced today their plans to open apparel brand Joe Fresh in New York City. Slated to be the international flagship store, the New York location will open in the fall of 2011.

Loblaws announced today their plans to open apparel brand Joe Fresh in New York City. Slated to be the international flagship store, the New York location will open in the fall of 2011.

Joe Fresh, a clothing and accessories line featured in Loblaw superstores, will be five years old this year. This move from Loblaw follows their 20 store expansion plan for Joe Fresh throughout Canada.

"We felt it was time to make the first step into the international market with a store in the American fashion capital, and one of the most exciting cities in the world, New York,” Said Joe Mimran in an official statement.

The new store will  be unveiled on 5th Avenue in New York City and will be respectfully remodeled to fit the Joe Fresh modern aesthetic brand.

“This new location, on one of the most important shopping streets in the world, will introduce the Joe Fresh brand to a new audience of savvy shoppers. We can't wait to see the reaction from those new to the brand when they first see our style, feel our fabrics, try on our garments and be amazed by the value,” said Joe Fresh stand-alone store VP Lucy Van der Wal in the press release.

Joe Fresh is Loblaw’s response to consumers search for cheap new fashion. Offering a line of 400 items, the clothing store features affordable products from cute shoes to chic dresses. Additionally, there’s a Joe Fresh beauty line that carries a collection of stylish and accessible beauty products. Joe Fresh provides consumers with accessible mens and womens fashion for the especially frugal minded.
