Chrysler Canada claimed today that it was the top auto manufacturer in Canadian vehicle sales for the month of February. Chrysler Canada also revealed a total nine per cent vehicle sales increase compared to February 2011 and explained that this was the highest sales the company has seen in a February since 2002.
"These sales results are a testament to the 16 all-new or significantly refreshed products we introduced over the last year, which focused on improved exteriors, new interiors, and dramatically better fuel efficiency," said Dave Buckingham, CEO , Chrysler Canada in a statement.
The sales increase was a direct result of a jump in more than double passenger car sales at Chrysler. Jeep Wrangler, another brand of Chrysler Canada, also saw a double in sales compared to February 2011.

Chrysler is heavily invested in Canada with three manufacturing plants located in Brampton, Windsor and Etobicoke, Ontaro which produces the Chrysler 300, the Chrysler Town & Country, the Dodge Charger, the Dodge Challenger, the Dodge Grand Caravan and the Volkswagen Routan.
Throughout the month Chrysler Canada sold a total of 16,536 cars and trucks, compared to 15,238 in February 2011.
In general, Chrysler had a great month for vehicle sales in and out of Canada. Seeing its best sales in four years in the US, the company is seeing consistent growth. It’s FIAT brand, which was launched in the US in December, had the best sales month since its launch and was up a total of 69 per cent.
